Jonathan Middleton: A Journey
What makes a journey, the actual journey or the destination? I would wager that this question's answer is very heavily dependent on the kind of journey that is being undergone and an individual's perspective.
A journey itself can be incredibly awarding if it is taken slow, good company is kept, and the journeymen is open minded to new experiences. But this is seldom the case. Most people are very goal oriented and only show true satisfaction in something once that thing is completed. These sorts of people would likely have a great disdain for the journey and long for the journey's end.
This view is incredibly problematic and short sighted on behalf of the journeymen. Most of what people do can be considered a journey, not just a trip or vacation. A journey through education, hobbies, and more. The destination can be sought after but the journey in getting there should not be ignored or undervalued. If the journey is ignored in favor of the destination then so much of life is truly a waste, too much.
