Danielle Hawkins: Child like faith

One of the first times I remember the eldil being mentioned in Out of the Silent Planet is when Ransom and Hyoi are passing a little she-hross and Ransom can't see what she is talking too. While it later says in the book that the eldil only make themselves visible to those it wants, I think Lewis may have intentionally choose one of the first sightings/mentions in the book to be with a child. Children often see the world in a way that pure. I almost want to say they see the world how we all should see it. I wonder if all little hross see the eldil so clearly? I know it says that the eldil only make themselves visible to those which they want to be seen, but does a person's view of the world/reality/life affect their ability to see the eldil? Ransom compares this little she-hross to the young of his own planet that just "pretend." How many kids are pushed aside for pretending when they could have the next big idea or thought that could change/ impact so many things?
